Urbanproof’s bicycle crates are a familiar sight on countless Dutch bikes. For years, these 30L crates — made from 100% recycled plastic — have ruled the streets. Over that time, we’ve learned a lot about the material and how people actually use them. Building on that experience, I redesigned the crate, strengthening its edges and introducing a clever way to integrate a bike light into its open structure.

Alongside the classic 30L version, a 15L model has now been added to the range — perfectly sized for children’s bikes, offering just enough space for their little backpacks on the way to elementary school. Today, the crates are produced using a mix of virgin and recycled PP, resulting in a much more durable design — ready to own the streets for at least another decade.
